What truly brings pride to a creative?

Is it client approval?

Iconic masterpieces?

Shelves of awards?

 

Not for me.

 

Financial security? Not in this industry.

The Mad Men era’s glamor? Long gone.

So, what’s left?

 

It’s a game.

One I’ve conquered.

Yet, I replay it—over and over.

Faltering, starting afresh.

 

Setting new records?

That’s not the essence.

It’s the thrill in every move.

Over 50 ideas shelved.

Creatives burning the midnight oil.

Some left, while others filled their shoes.
